Open Question: Is it realistic for me to be a football player?

My dream since high school was to play for the San Diego Chargers football team. I'm in my late thirties, I have an average build, I work at a local university, I'm married, and have two children in elementary school. I can’t do much about my age, but I can begin bulking up through proper diet and exercise.
